Scientists will study changes in the ice cover in the Russian Arctic during a marine expedition

«A scientific group of 80 scientists, under my leadership, will go on a 36-day expedition to the northern seas of Russia. The start is scheduled for August 15, from the port of Arkhangelsk. We are going to cover about five thousand nautical miles (about 9.26 thousand km — TASS), from the White Sea to the Novosibirsk islands in the Laptev Sea. A comprehensive scientific study is planned to be conducted,» Flint explained. He added that the scientists will focus first and foremost on the issues of climate change and state of ice cover in the Arctic.
