Rosatom started testing Russian apparatus for the diagnosis of oncological diseases

Positron emission tomography is an advanced method of medical diagnostics that allows detecting oncological diseases at the earliest stage, when changes in the tissue structure have not visibly manifested themselves yet. The PET scan technology includes emission tomography and computer-aided tomography (CAT). The PET makes it possible to detect even the smallest tumour structures, and CAT determines their exact location.
